Welcome

Hello! You are currently located at Colin Cheong's little corner of the WWW. This website is a culmination of whatever odd bits and pieces I could string together hastily, so don't expect too much - and you will not be disappointed.

History Archive

A brief history of my homepage attempts as they have undergone various re-incarnations and updates over the years. Arranged chronologically.

  • colche's Homepage (Feb 2008 - current) 3.0.
Design shift. What you are looking at right now!
    Changed from PHP to ASP.NET.
  • colche's Homepage (Nov 2004- Feb 2008) 2.0.
Comprehensive design shift, based on the 'blu' template.
Introduced custom guestbook, work examples, daily quote and weather features.
  • colche's Homepage (Jan 2004 - Nov 2004) 1.5.
Version 1.1 - Updated with common page layout, and an 'About Me' section.
    Version 1.5 - Complete HTML rewrite in W3C validated XHTML/CSS and a custom-built guestbook.
  • DIS Homepage (Oct 2001) 1.0.
Ok this homepage is somewhat embarassing now, I was forced to do it in my first year of university as an assignment. Still there is some nice stuff in there, and it marked my first attempt at an ambitious layout and coding in XHTML.
  • colche's Homepage (March 2001 - Dec 2003) 1.0.
I think the motto of this page was: something simple cannot have any fault. Looks like I initially whipped this up on frontpage and did a copy and paste of my timetable from the University SIS system. Started off pretty much barebones, but various bits and pieces were added along the way.
  • Col's Homepage (Jan 1996 - Mid 2000).
The original and the beginning. Back when HTML 3.2 and Netscape Navigator 4 were all the rage. At it's height - this webpage attracted a fair amount of visitors due to my makeshift games and tennis fan pages being listed early on Altavista and Yahoo search engines. Unfortunately I cannot find them archived around anymore. The front page is preserved though in all its glory - fluro lime green links on sea green what was I thinking? Remained largely inactive and dormant through the latter half of it's lifespan 1998-2000.
